Took the toy to the playground! (pics)

The wife is away visiting family. So what does a Pnut do?... runs for his toy and heads for the Smokies!!! Took off early this morning for Tellico Plains,TN and onto the Cherohala Skyway and then the Dragon (US129). Covered approx 220 staggeringly beautiful miles. The weather could not be better (72-76F) and the fall colors are still there. I'm going to be brief as I'm wiped out and tired. The 991S is hands down the finest 911 I have owned! It lived up to everything I'd want from a sports car. Its a great cruiser and a phenomenal performer on the twisties. I'm in love with PDCC as it sucked up some really poor road surfaces and noticeably kept the car level to provide incredible control on severely testing twisties. I'm rambling.... I'm tired... I'll write more tomorrow when I get back home but there's more driving in the mountains and then a visit to the dealer for an oil change first. Until then some pics. Just so pleased with the car!!!!!

You live in a very nice region. After your different posts , I had to check it out on google map + tellico plains site .

It looks actually very similar to some parts around here . It must be a very place to live. Not too far from the FL beaches, not too far from NY ..

I got some of my older autumns pics out . Here are 2 of them.

Gnil, I live about 50 miles from Chattanooga towards Nashville. The closest beach would be the Gulf of Mexico around Destin which is about 6 hours away. We are lucky to live in a hilly region with great roads. Your pictures are wonderful. You too are fortunate living where you do. We visit Switzerland a few times a year and have close friends in Dornach, Basel, and Zurich. Just a beautiful country.

Thank you all. I'm happy to share some pics and my Pcar experiences with fellow enthusiasts. For me it's part of the overall Porsche experience.

Haku, your pictures are breathtaking and I Ihave one of them on my desktop! The contrast with Gnil's 997S is remarkable and makes the 997 style look quite dated. I own a 9974S that i absolutely love and had planned to keep it for some time. But after my parents' estate is once settled, then I will be off to Germany to pick up a new 991S and tour Austria, Provence, Tuscany, and Switzerland. I have been to the Porsche factory (3 times!) but this time it will be to pick up my new car and receive the Porsche red carpet treatment !

Oh yes, I remember now you mentioning in the past that you come sometimes to Switzerland. I am on lake Geneva .

We are both lucky to live in placed where we can enjoy our 911 on some nice roads Smiley
