Yes, we have a lot of "fake badging" in Germany, I've seen E63 AMG, M5 and M3, even C63 AMG on many cars which definitely weren't AMG or M models. Also the owner of a Croatian restaurant over here drives a Cayenne Turbo...with silver painted brake calipers. I have also seen many 911, especially 996, with an original or aftermarket rear wing, saying GT3 but with sometimes black brake calipers or the ordinary exhaust pipes.
Usually however, people play underdogs over here: They remove the badges (or order the car without model designation) or they put something "smaller" on them.
I decided to re-badge my Panamera Turbo S but instead of the long Panamera Turbo S lettering, I used "turbo S" only. Looks much better in my opinion but some people could suspect that this isn't really a Turbo S because of that. I don't care, especially since you can read "turbo S" on the speedo and door sills. When I start the car also in the PCM.
