Porsche wasn't listed in Tim Cook's WWDC 2012 presentation recently (about a week ago).
I remember seeing the logos of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, GM, Jaguar and a number of other manufacturers.
No Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin, Maserati, McLaren .... just the major manufacturers.
But there may be plans to add more manufacturers at some later date in the future so it's best to keep checking.

If it works on Audi it will work on Porsche too...
Audi's system doesn't have much in common with the current PCM.
It could change in the future though...
The list Apple published is only the initial list, it will change over the next couple of months.
I doubt that premium manufacturers can ignore the iPhone.

Agreed, Porsche will have to adopt it ... the question is how long do we have to wait?
Porsche didn't incorporate iPhone integration properly until the 997.2 facelift ... years after BMW did it.

Does anyone actually use SIRI ? I do it about once every two month ... and more for fun then anything else.
My kids use it for fun but I barely use it and if I use it, only in the US.
The german version is pretty limited in functionality but in the US, it works quite well.
In a car, SIRI would make a lot of sense because it supports the handsfree usage. Last time I was looking for the address of a certain restaurant while driving, my wife really can't use the iPhone(she has a Blackberry), I was so angry because I was driving on the Autobahn and I had no possibility to stop anywhere to look for the address.

Although Siri may be of limited use right now (under iOS5), as the functionality increases in iOS6, it's usage should increase especially if people want to use handsfree/eyesfree turn by turn navigation using Apple's new Mapping app.

This is another good reason, of course. Not sure however how much car manufacturers will like that since they are selling their own navigation systems for big bucks.

Dammit...I think you just gave them (manufacturers) an idea...

Hi!
Your wife can't use a iPhone? ... HELLO ... I saw babys using the iPhone on Youtube .... What's happened to your wife?
Just kidding
Gregor
My wife hates touch screens for whatever reason. She has an iPad for almost a year now (first iPad 1, now iPad 2) and she loves using it for reading news in the evening but otherwise, this is it. She tried an iPhone for a couple of days and hated it, she also dropped it a couple of times because she is always in a hurry. Her Blackberry is full of dents...she drops it at least once a day, so the iPhone isn't for her, especially not the iPhone 4 or 4S with the glass back.
Both of my kids have an iPhone, so you are right but apparently my wife needs to wait for the first MIL specs iPhone.
Funny side story: We have touch controls in our bath room (shower, lavatory, toilet) and sometimes, when she is tired, she really gets mad at them (and at me for getting this stuff... ).
