    Re: 100'000 km!

My God!!!! Pierre what a daily Porsche driver you are!!. Congratulations!!. My Porsche is, well it was(because know is property of Porsche Center Madrid) sold with only 3200kms on the tach and every weekend was outside the garage, thought I drived the Porsche a lot!!! .
Also its a perfect example of Porsche reliability in all areas.

    Re: 100'000 km!

    Pierre...you are a record man..

I think Porsche take you as a tester of the next 997 Turbo...

When you will arrive at 200.000km we can make a great party...maybe at the Ring..

If they really want me to, I might try to find the time... Well, I'd even sign all the NDA's they'd give me!

At this pace, the 200'000 km mark should be reached this winter!

    Greetings,

    Re: 100'000 km!

Congratulations! Those km/miles surely are mostly road miles (the best). How is the car from squeaks/rattles perspective?

Yes, most km were probably made on the road. However, the car is seeing a lot of track too (10-20 track-days/year). Add some 'mountain driving', snow, etc. and you have an idea.

Squeaks? Only the brakes do squeak a lot! That's because of the Pagid yellow pads. And I'd miss it if they wouldn't squeak anymore... As for the rattles: nothing. Absolutely nothing.

    Re: 100'000 km!

i thought i had the most miles on my 996 turbo...but wheww you beat it.i just sold my baby which had 147000 km for the new 997 s.i had it since nov 2000 and the only thing i had to do was...fill the car with gas and go,go,go.never ever i had one single problem with this car.sometimes i regret that i sold it...

WOW!!! I guess there aren't many members in the 1xx'xxx km club... Glad to finally meet one!

    Greetings,

    Re: 100'000 km!

I'm over 100K since months, exactly 110K but have driven the car not much driven in last time. The next weeks it will be changed. No problems since today with the motor. Brake pads and disc changed. Suspension changed.

    was that a coincedence?

I like how in the first picture the clock says "9:11" That could not be a coincedence!

    Of course not!

    Re: was that a coincedence?

Next milestone! Sorry, I just missed 180 km/h...
    Greetings,
    --Pierre

    Re: was that a coincedence?

    Congratulations!

P.S. - Is that the seatbelt warning light? Naughty, naughty... seatbelts do save lives.

    Re: was that a coincedence?

ADias, I was wearing the 6-points harness, as I usually do. Actually, I can NOT drive without wearing a seatbelt, either 3- or 6-points. It just feels wrong.
    Greetings,
    --Pierre

    Re: was that a coincedence?

Pierre: I would not expect anything less from someone like yourself. I understand now that the car ignores the six-point and lits up the warning.

I also agree w/ you being in a car w/o the belts on just feels odd.

    Re: was that a coincedence?

yeah, me too... I always feel like I forgot something when I drive without seatbelts. Pierre, can't the light be disabled? I mean, I think you don't have the normal belts in your car anymore, do you? (the points replaced the normal ones?)
    -Joost-

    Re: was that a coincedence?

He still has the normal belts, for his girlfriend(s)

    Re: was that a coincedence?

Yep, keeping the normal 3-points belts is mandatory. They don't interfere at all.
And no, it seems the warning light can't be deactivated. I don't really care...
    Greetings,
    --Pierre

PS: brunner, the 6-points harness isn't ideal with a skirt!

Not ideal for who? depends if you are looking from the driver's point of view or the female pasenger's

    Re: was that a coincedence?

    jeez guys...
And Pierre, if you read closely, it seems like you are saying you're wearing skirts... Are you scottish? Or worse?!? :D:D
    -Joost-

    Re: was that a coincedence?

Hey, this is my car and I can wear whatever I want, ok?
    Greetings,
    --Pierre

    Re: was that a coincedence?

LOL Pierre... I don't care whether you wear bras, or dresses, or whatever... your car is just gorgeous, so whatever
    -Joost-

    wow!

    Congrats Pierre!! 180000km!!! jesus!

    i have only 155000km on my 996 C4 ..
    keep going man!
