One-77 Driven [sort of]

I'm weirdly un-impressed. Sitting still it looks outrageous, just as it should, but in motion it's kind of a mess.

Does it appear to ride really high?

The front looks way too wide and has the effect of making the front tires look sort of puny. The engine note seems rather muted for a 7.3l V12, both inside and out. I know it's not Italian, but the DBS and Vanquish both sound phenomenal. I'm puzzled. I want to like it, maybe it should just sit still...

Looks like a huge car.

The car is always accelerating when filmed hence the high front ride height.

It seems to lack drama inside the cabin as you've mentioned.

1.4m pounds? I would not pay for that car more than 200,000 pounds, i.e. no more than an Aventador for example...

The one-77 is everything the AMV8/DB-9/DBS was, but then exaggerated; price, proportions, level of engineering. Some people like that, I don't.
the looks are off, because it is out of proportion; too big grill, too exaggerated fenders, etc.
The price is way over the topas well... long story short; I'd prefer a DBS over this any time of the day.

Are you serious?

Elevator-music version of the Star Trek theme aside, of course it sounds great parked up - it would have to. I was remarking at the seemingly subdued engine note inside, while driving hard. I guess if I were spending that kind of money, I want something Zonda-like - more engaging at the least.

It's a gorgeous car, no doubt, but that price tag??? Come on...

Credit to Aston for actually doing it, but there's no denying the company is in trouble and short on cash.

We're getting tired of seeing special edition after special edition and update after update.

The worst is then we're told that the Virage is a new model! Smiley

The price is not correlated to perfomamce in this car, but rather two things - exclusivity, amd the fact that nothing in the car was treated as a C surface. Even things you cannot see or touch were treated and designed as if they were A surfaces
