    Audi RS4 B8 in Geneva 2012

    Swiss official Audi importer AMAG released today an official document disclosing the world premiere of the 450hp RS4 Avant 4.2 FSI S-tronic Quattro at the Geneva autoshow, along side two other world premieres, the new A3 and a 360hp TT-RS.

    Merci! Do I understand this correct that there will be the A1 quattro on display with 250 hp, as a production model that is?

    A1 Quattro is limited production model-only 333 units will be build.

    BTW, R8 FL is also coming to Geneva.

    Kreso, you're always so well informed about what's next to come from Audi. When I read that there will be a power hike for the TT RS from 340 to 360, do you know if this engine will also be available for the A3 RS? I don't think we will necessarily see this engine in the A3 since this car is in its last year of production, but if anybody knows, you can surely answer this question.

    Since totally new A3 will be introduced in Geneva your suggestion do make sense.

    Just... According to my info new RS3 with 360ps(or more since new 7 speed S tronic can cope with more power and torque) is not yet approved by Audi turst of minds. Basically, car is ready in prototyp form but, we need to see if it will see the green light. New S3(more then 270ps!) will be also very interesting product.

    BTW, why 360ps in TT RS? New Boxster S/Cayman S is the answer. Audi wanted to be faster then competition-at least for sure in straight line. Also, 360ps TT RS with right options will be much cheaper then forthcoming Cayman S with similar options. Of course, new Cayman S will be a benchmark, track wise for sure.

    New headlights and front, minor changes to the back end as well. New gen navi and some interior changes.

    Technically-updated suspesnion and brakes. New 7 speed gearbox(quiz here-will it be a DCT or automated manual?) and more power/torque.

    Since it was difficult to instal a DCT in the first place, I don't think they will re-engineer the FL model so extensively.

    An updated automated manual is more likely. However, if Audi go to such an extent as to fit a DCT (in line with competitors) before the brand new model,  I take my hat off to them for their response.

    According to Autocar the FL R8 will already have a DCT. Hope it's correct.

    "Once again, Audi is planning a two-model line-up, with a base 4.2-litre V8 and range-topping 5.2-litre V10. Both models receive updated versions of the first-generation R8’s engines, optimised for greater power and fuel economy. The V10 is said to develop about 550bhp and return 25.7mpg in combination with a new seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox that is set to underpin changes on a facelifted version of today’s model, due to make its public debut at the Moscow motor show in August."

    so, after stunning M6, Audi needed to respond immediately, not letting BMW steal the show, which is fine - although quite obvious! the problem is only that the BMW is improving a lot lately, and on other hand - Audi is becoming the new king of cheap design details. very different from the years when Walter Da Silva was their head of design!

    Seems almost like the VW has better resolved design language, although also very repetitive -  but very mature!

    I agree. The design is getting very boring. They need to refresh and change this front .

    Audi design appeals  to me because it is much cleaner than BMW or Mercedes, the cars of which appear unnecessarily overstyled and incorporate some superfluous styling details that make the look busy and fussy. IMO Audi design needs to maintain this simplicity but add some more drama.

    This is my favourite Audi. The same simple lines but more striking.
