Hope I am not imagining this, but it looks like the rear quarter panel intakes will be different on the 991 turbo. The tape outlines the old look, but I think I can see more oval intakes under the tape. Anyone else notice this?

Yes I noticed the same.

Maybe it`s more close to this:

Nice work as always, Pjd. But I was referring to the intakes in front of the rear wheel wells. Do you have a rendering of them?
Ok, sorry
This rendering were made by Wild-Speed.
Don`t have renderings for that intakes.

Hi to everyone! Any news about 991 turbo engine power? I've heard something like 520 hp (quattroruote site), but I think it far, very far from the real power of the next turbo flat-6!
If you consider Ferrari 458 Italia 570 Cv, McLaren MP4-12C 600 cv, Nissan GTR - M.Y. 2012 570 cv, Lamborghini Cabrera 600 cv or more... it would be really tragic a Turbo with only 520 hp!!! No way to face its rivals, with a s really underpowered engine. What do you think about?
I guess real power would be at least 580-600 cv...

My guess the new 991 Turbo will have at least 530hp, since this is the number of the current Turbo S. But I guess we will see even more, something like 550-560hp. And we are talking about Porsche ponies here, so this official number will be close to 600hp in real.

Don't get caught up in the HP game. Porsche well knows its competition (Ferrari for example), and will deliver a product at least equal to, and probably exceeding, the performance of its competion. It's about weight, torque, handling, drivability, launch control, design. Rest easy...

Completely agree. Porsche is more then HP.
Anybody think Turbo might be shown in Geneva in March of 2012, with European deliveries in the summer and U.S. deliveries in late fall? Probably early, but with Porsche's announced goal of selling 140,000 cars in 2012, and 200,000 by 2018, may we be seeing a different presentation schedule?

The Turbo mules we are seeing in spy pictures look like they are pretty close to production cars. Summer 2012 production makes sense. So fingers crossed for Geneva launch

Too early. 1st the Cab. versions (spring - Geneva), then C4 versions (summer - Paris). So Turbo maybe in Geneva but 2013
