If the 996 problems are so well documented why did the factory do nothing to solve them? If many people here has suggested that brands like Nissan don't deserve a good reputation as sportscars makers because of the reliaility problems of cars like the R35 GT-R have? Why has Porsche keep any of his good reputation after the 996?

I checked your user name on other car forums, apparently you are a member in half of the car forums on this planet. Surprisingly, I couldn't find one single post of yours where you actually pass on some valuable information. All you do is brag about this and that, usually you just criticize or post links.

Seems to be a short movie though. 
Pretty expensive, depending on the parts used (I would stick with OEM parts but some non-approved repair shops don't use OEM parts, which can be a serious problem). One VTG charger was around 2000 EUR last time I checked (a while ago, maybe they are cheaper now), engine was 35000 EUR...no bargain.
