J.Seven:
Congrats on your new toy. Was there any other option on the table?
This car reminds me my beloved 205 GTI 1.9 back in 1988, what a great car it was, this RS has the same "spirit", there´s not many nowadays.

@ all: thanks for your nice words - I ´m surprised that so many of you like that little car...
@ J. Seven: The options were:
Ford Focus RS - sold out in Germany
Ford Focus ST 2012 - comes too late for me
VW Golf GTi VI - imo a little bit too boring after the test drive
VW Golf R - too expensive for my dd
So I took the Clio RS - in 1988 we had a Renault R5 with 100 HP - this car was so much fun, I said to myself someday I want one of these crazy Renault Sport Cars...
It´s tough not rev over 4.500 rpm for the first 1.000 Km, but just 500 more Km and the fun will start.
After the Mini Cooper S (supercharged) and the Focus ST (Turbo) the first drive was a shock, because the cars feels far from strong at low rpms - I thinks I have to adjust again my driving style...pedal to the metal!
But the handling is really a dream, the cars feels so light an agile - the steering is perfect.
Hard braking from high speeds needs more concentration because of the short wheel base.
More pics from today, taken at the NorisRing/Nürnberg to follow.

Renault Sport Monitor for : torque, throttle position, use of power, oil temp, g-Force, lap times, 0-100Km/h =-400 Km/h
The great Recaro bucket seats - expensive, but worth the money
I didn't know this car existed. It seems to be a mini-bullet.
Enjoy!
BTW, Renault Sport with all this involvement and success in F1 should have something more to show in their road car range, than this small Sport Clio (and perhaps a Megane)? Missing the opportunity, I think.

Sigh....
We don't get fun small cars like this over in America.
If anything, we typically get a faux version - just a body kit kit, nice wheels, and some negliable HP bump.
It's as if they want us to only every aspire to a Camaro or Challenger.
Fiat will sell the 500 Abarth is (very) little fun car IMO
