Like I said, I think that the Audi TT RS is the better value from almost any point of view, with the exception of the price tag of course. Can't help it, I'm a sucker for AWD. 
Btw: in Germany (I suppose in some other countries too), there is an optional 280 kph (175 mph) package available for the Audi TT RS and as far as rumors go, a similar package (M Driver's Package) will be available for the 1M but speed could be limited at 275 kph instead of 280. Details are not clear yet but as soon as I have more, I will post it.

In the latest issue of Auto Bild Sportscars the TT-RS S-tronic did 0-100km/h in 3,9s and 0-200km/h in 14,9s. Almost as fast as Carrera GTS PDK from the same issue (0-200km/h in 14,4s).

I agree. I like the TT RS a lot ( I had the first version TT tuned to 275 HP and was so happy with it ) but the car now looks too feminine and smallish for older guys )

I love it. Internet bench/fanboy racing aside , this " bulldog " model has become a " pit bull " due to it's 80s-style flared fenders . One thing I haven't liked about the current M3 and M5 is that they are in conservative bodywork, where you have to look for the side vent or the rear exhaust shroud to figure out it is an M. No need to do that for this one !

@ trackwise the TTRS (with or without S-Tronic) will be way slower than M1 QP as the weight distribution is close to 62% on the front, whilst the "Bavarian hunk" has 50/50%!
Secondly it's well known that the Audi brakes suffer a lot when beeing tracked...

I like the front spoiler, and rear looks great with the quad exhaust tips.
Exhaust sound is more than great !!! I love it !!!
On the other hand, the M1 looks already out-dated exterior and obviously from the interior... I would never pay 50.000€ for it, and in less than a year cross myself at the road with the 2012 1 SERIES....
Having said that, I would love driving one, it must go just like an M3, but for 30.000€ less.

Too lazy too write a long review, but in summary, it's the best 4 door car I've owned, and I have owned many!
