    If it makes them more money, why not? The idea that there is some chain of command is pretty ridiculous. They'll sell 10 cars that are exactly the same if they think it will be more profitable in the end.

     hardly, the A7 competes with the CLS.  above would be the S class, A8, and the 7 Series. an then above that would be the Panamera, Quattroporte, and Rapide. that last class is where the A9 would fall.

     Ok, well if they made a RS7 it could compete directly with the panamera then.

     That Photoshop looks milestones better than any Panamera! 

    I'm just not sure how much space for sporty sedans we have on the current market. If I see how many CLS or Passat CC are bought compared to C-Class or Passat, I clearly see that this always will be a niche market.

    I like its looks.

    It might even look better if the top line of the grill did not notch the hood.

    Nice to see a model concept positioned upstream from the a8, s class and 7 series cars.
