Nice! And after the wait comes the wait untill you'll be able to drive it? ;-)
November is not really a good time of the year to drive an open race car is it?
Anyways, looking forward to reading some nice reports!

Gauss, I just told my wife about your new car - she is already asking if she can enjoy a passenger lap in it around the Nordschleife
Based solely on that comment I declare your wife to be 'Awesome' !!! and you can tell her I said that.
LOL Thanks - I just told her - she's a genuine petrolhead like all of us

Gauss:
Delivery is expected for November.
I managed to place an order exceptionnally a couple of days after the order book got closed, which was on the 27th of August. So I expect this 211 to be one of the very last built.
Now the wait...
Poor Daisy.
Is it the supercharged version ?
Congratulations...even more extreme now.

Thanks for the wishes, guys! I'm happy as a clam
@Joost, indeed, I will have to wait a whole lot longer until I can take it out on a track day
@ Easy, LOL thanks my friend! I know your wife extremely enjoyed the passenger ride in the Elise. She rightly advised me to wear a helmet on the Ring, well now you can tell her, that I WILL and of course both of you are always welcome to join a ride in the 211!
@Gnil, I haven't forgotten that you wanted a ride in the 211 too so next time we meet, we're having a blast in it
@MKSGR, that's exactly what I was thinking when I took the plunge. I'm not appreciating the new ideas of Dany Bahar and thought I'd get one of the last "lightweight" Lotus' while I still can.
@RC, you are right, she is still getting accustomized to the idea and it's going to take me go through a lot of new pairs of shoes
I've opted for the N/A version. It's got the same power output as my Elise and that's plenty quick for me, especially since the 211 is much lighter. If I should ever be wanting more power in the future, then I can always add the supercharger later.
I will register this 2-Eleven for the road to be able to enjoy it on the Nordschleife. Unfortunately there is no COC - "Certificate of Conformity" - for the 211 and it is particularly difficult to register it in some countries.
My 2-Eleven will be the very first in Luxembourg
Besides the already track focussed spec the car has, I have opted for uprated suspension and brakes. The colour is going to be black again, I just love black on a Lotus
I will write an extensive review of it, and post lots of photos once I take delivery

Thanks guys
@Eunice, the one above with the yellow/grey stripes has the Launch edition paint scheme.
Mine will be all black. Kind of like this one, but with the SVA Kit, which includes head lights, blinkers and a honk
I had posted photos about this black 211 in the past, which you can look up here : http://www.rennteam.com/forum/thread/473627/Lotus_2Eleven_in_black/page1.html
Maybe I'll take the wheels in silver, I'm still undecided.
Here's a photo of one with the headlights :

Those are stunning news, congratulations on that purchase! Tell us a bit more about your projected usage, e.g. trackdays, tourist days at the N´ring, cup races...
Hm, somehow you left me out in your previous response so I try again.
Oops, guilty as charged Sorry Ferdie
Here goes, I will be using the 211 solely for track usage. Primarily on the Nürburgring and the nearby circuit courses, like Spa, the GP track at the Ring, Hockenheim, Mettet, etc. (anything that lies in a 300 km perimeter around Luxembourg).
Maybe I will enter a few regularity races (don't know of any just yet) but I haven't planned on participating in the CUP races (Lotus CUP). Maybe someday in the future.
