these are very fast numbers indeed.. But difficult to believe them after the numbers published by evo and other reputable magazines sorry. 0-125 under 10 secs as implied here is very different from around 10.5 secs as published by others. And thats huge difference.

Ferrari has made an amazing car and i was driven in it recently, but mid 9s to 200 is a different ball game and you need a lot more power or this and less weight

U.S. magazines use a 5 foot "rollout" methodology when testing a car's acceleration, they therefore have consistently better numbers than there european counterparts.

These numbers are comparable to those of Quattroruote. I regard Quattroruote, together with R&T the most reliable sources. The italian magazine is renowned for its strict methodology and the american is well respected also. Thus, I believe that the 458 is that quick indeed.The worst test are conducted by Autocar; they don't even have a decent piece of tarmac...

Perhaps it is only a 1 foot rollout which equates to roughly .03 seconds.

" Last, as is stand-ard NHRA drag-strip procedure, we use a 1-ft. "rollout" in our calculations. That is, the car travels 1 ft. before triggering the clock. (A typical car takes 0.3 second to travel this first foot.) "
