RC, you are assuming that people do not consider driving feel / experience when choosing a car, and only raw performance numbers. I used to post here a long time ago (can't find my old account), so I know that some people here tend to enjoy cars that drive themselves.
MKGSR put it very well.
Of course driving feel is important but why not buy an Ariel Atom then instead ?
When I was young(er) , I was looking for a challenge and some cars I owned and drove were really challenging, up to the point where I risked my life. Starting with the 996 Turbo, a very forgiving car, I realized that I rather enjoy being very fast without having to fear for my life. The RS-Tuning modification was taking a logical step ahead.
I'm 45 years old now. I had my share of fun in life but now I started to be more cautious. I prefer to be fast without taking many risks. If I would own a GT2 RS, I would still try to drive this car at the limit, which, depending on my success, would be fun or lethal. In a 997 Turbo S, things would be different for various reasons. Even if I turn off PSM, the car is much more forgiving due to the overall setup.
Don't get me wrong: for the track, the GT2 RS is definitely the car but as a daily driver, I would prefer the 997 Turbo S.
