Two examples of Cayman S PDK tested on the Hockenheim.
First yellow one did 1.13,9min and second(also yellow but, different example) did 1.14,2min-so, on short track like Hockenehim Cayman S PDK is faster.
BTW, Cayman S PDK Nordschleife time is 8:17min.
BUT, on long power track like Nordschleife TT RS is faster.

A Monza (or old Hockenheim) comparo would be a real power track test. The Ring is way too bumpy and driver depednant. Which car would you chose Kreso for your own one?
Every car on every track is driver dependant. The conclusion one can draw out of a Nordschleife laptime is different to the one on the Hockenheim (or Monza) circuit. If longitudinal performance matters, check the acc. and braking numbers.
The combination of Nordschleife and Hockenheim short circuit is pretty neat, obviously cars show their strenghts and weaknesses on certain tracks or parts. A superb laptime on a smooth circuit does not necessarily translate into an outstanding laptime on the Nordschleife, simply because suspension is too limited. One can actually improve laptimes on a regular racetrack which will not come to full effect on the Nordschleife.
The TT RS might have advantages at the highspeed sections of the Nürburgring but that laptime is astonishing. Have to read the article reg. suspension, tires and sector times.
The AWD of the TT could also help on the N'Ring, allowing the driver to take more risks, easier to be on the limits on a difficult track

These times are reasonable given its 340HP. The 355HP (and little more weight?) 997 Carrera S did correspondingly faster times.(8:05 and 1:14,3).
4WD also helps I think.
However, the Audi R8 time of 8:04 looks disappointing next to the TT.

I can assure you that latest R8 V8(from MY09 in fact) can do 7.55min or lower without any problem if equiped with Corsas R01. Audi modified both sport suspension and Magnetic Ride after intro of R8 V10.

That's the problem with comparing NBR times at different SA test periods.
Ambient conditions differ, track surfaces change, manufacturers update certain components every model year, different tyres give different results etc.
We must take these times as very indicative for comparison.

Don't forget that HvS doesn't have much seat time in the tested cars. Especially on NoS: front engine + AWD = much easier to drive at the limit compared to mid engine + RWD.
I visited a quite large AUDI Zentrum yesterday and I was shocked that the MRSP are just meaningless numbers these days. R8 4.2 (new car): discount 30 k€ , TTRS 10 k€ - and that's without asking/negotiating 
7 used 4.2 R8 in the showroom with low mileage, asking prices 75-85 k
