this shots where taken in Spain !!, it seems Audi/Mercedes are offering for the top models matte black and silver exterior colours, its another trend in the market, just like some years ago with painting the rims, specially for porsche/Lambo/Ferrari......

-after Ferrari 458 highest peak revs in any V8 engine
-S Tronic only for first period of time
-two new wheel designs, car is faster with 19" on the track despite 20" options
-unique fuel cap a la R8
-faster on the track including the Ring then all rivals
-8 exterior colors-but, that could change

omg nice the wheel arches almost remind me of the Porsche 944, and that's a good thing. Can't wait to see the first one in white in Dubai or something!

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

I hope this new RS5 is going to blow away current E92 M3 so that BMW is going to be provoked to produce M3 CSL 
I really hope this RS5 will come to market soon and humiliate M3..

I was told beginning of next year (not sure if that referred to delivery). 
From the specs I´ve been told it will fit perfectly between M3 and C63 and it indeed might have an edge on track...

the squared fenders do remind one of the 944 ( my first Porsche was an '86 944 Turbo in 1985 )
Audi, though, in the current RS6 and now this RS5 is recalling their early ' 80s ur-Quattro's iconic fenders :
Even better , rumors persist that there is a lightweight RS5 - based " son-of ur-Quattro " in the Quattro GMBH skunk works to counter a possible M3 CSL !

I am going to get rid of my C63 for one of these when it comes! Especially now that I will be using the X5M solely for family duty, there is no need for another family car. Besides, RS5 will have back seats anyway...geez, I can really justify everything when I want it badly.

I also heard the new RS 5 will be introduced at LA Auto Show in Dec. Kreso, can you verify please.
Image above is poor PS work-total fake.
Intro is maybe even in Essen in November.
For now just this-engine is 4163ccm V8 FSI HDZ(NA) 331kw(450ps). Gearbox sporty version of 7 speed S Tronic.

Any idea what the torque is on the car? What is HDZ btw?
HDZ-HochDrehZahl concept or in good old english High rev concept.
Torque chould be around 460Nm level.
Engine is using same concept as Audi R8 V10 or Ferrari 458 Italia engine. High revs but, very wide and usable rev range, good torque values even at low revs(2500rpm).
