Black Cayenne, black Boxster, black 997 C2S, now a black 997 Turbo? Are you in the Mafia? So, what's with all the black?

If I tell ya, kid...I have to kill ya.
I'm afraid the reason for black is a pretty simple one: black isn't too flashy. I don't want my friends and neighbors to realize that I have a new car (my 997 CS was black too) but at the same time, I don't want anybody to stare at my car, especially not my customers.
And our Cayenne isn't black. No mafia car.

You spend too much time worrying about what other people think. What color is your Cayenne? I always thought that it was black.

From my experience, envy is very strong with people who actually have a lot of things, not very poor people. Don't know why.

Although black might seen discrete it really sin't. It's absolutely impossible that you one can go unnoticed with a brand new shiny black Porsche. There is hardly anything more stirking than a shiny black car.

Believe it or not but I already lost a good relationship to one neighbor because I mentioned how much power the Cayenne has. Another neighbor hasn't showed up anymore since I mentioned to his wife how much fuel the Cayenne eats.
This guy is very enviromental oriented, he told my wife that our Cayenne poisons his kids' future. I'm not kidding.
