Well, I'm in Austria right now, only around 30 km away from the german border and I wasn't able to get Auto, Motor und Sport today at ANY shop here in Austria.
They had the 19 Jan issue only. And to be honest, I would prefer to be in Florida right now.

Relax guys, the ams article doesnt say anything new. it just confirms the existence of an overbboost function which gets activated in sportmodus and increases the boost for up to 10 secs. dont have a scanner, but trust me that's all it says...

Very true.
But don't you hate the way all the European car mags at Barnes and Noble are not only a month old, but soiled and dog-eared from all the people who read them at the coffee shop there, but don't actually buy them.

Actually, B&N now encourages shoppers to browse and read; apparently, marketing studies have concluded that by letting people hang out and read the mags. (without buying them), those same people then end up buying more of other things they see there-like when I was down there two weeks ago, I read the same dog-eared car mags. for a good hour, but, alas, I couldn't resist purchasing the $50 Porsche 911 coffee table book I saw on display in the sports car book section....

That explains it! I noticed on my last visit to B&N's Waterside Shops branch that it seemed to be one staff member's job to periodically collect magazines off the browsing tables, including from that nicotine and caffein addicts' outdoor enclave, and put them back on the appropriate racks. It just meant that I had to choose the magazines I wanted to buy from the back of the stack, so they'd still be virginal.
(Nick Berry'll know what I'm talking about - creased sheets, and all that 
).And as you alluded to, I naturally also added to my excess baggage for the flight home.
