Because for some people, it is some sort of fun to provoke, to lie, to cheat, to impersonate somebody they aren't, etc. The anonymous internet has many heroes and many fallen angels.

The Cayman is a beautiful car, no doubt about it and I don't want to bash it or whatever people accuse me of. It seems that so many drove it, they all knew what the Cayman S is gonna be alike.

That is the whole point of this forum Mark.
If you do get bored indeed, I suggest you stick to magazines publications, they provide a good two way discussion!

No, what RC has are strong opinions.....nothing wrong with that at all and worth listening to, but in order to "know" anything you have to supply proof of such claims......and so far he has not provided any proof to back up his claims that most buyers of the Cayman have false expectations.

I made no comment on your opinion of the cars, that's all good. You just keep talking about the expectations of others. My point is, how do you know what people expect? Sure some folks have probably said some stupid things, but not in disproportionate numbers to your average internet dopeyness. I believe most Cayman S buyers have reasonable expectation based on the technical data, augmented by the statements of those who have driven the car (not just Porsche marketing). I don't know of many Cayman S buyers who expect a Gallardo or even a 911. It's different. We get that.

Your experience and input is great to read and has been in previous models. It is the condescending garbage about those silly misguided Cayman buyers that is rather inane. Though I can guarantee you it is not important enough to cause any loss of sleep.

A little piece of advice, Boobdear. If you want to stay a part of the Rennteam family, stop trying to antagonise the guy, together with the other moderators, who run it.

You really are doing yourself no favours.

I don't know whether you actually own the cars you claim to or not, and that's none of my business, but all I would say is that over the 20 months I've been part of this family I've made a lot of friends and learnt a great deal about cars, and Porsche in particular, which has added greatly to the enjoyment of ownership of my own car. So it could for you.

RC, it's easy to tell who is telling the truth and who is making up stories. Really no points to argue with them because they are not telling from their experience.

However, there are many people like that hang around on internet. A few months ago, similar things happened in Lambo-Power.com. A guy said he has a Lambo but he can't even post a pic of his Murci and gave a wrong pattern of VIN to prove he has a Lambo. What a joke, so I think it's not necessary to take it too serious.

In cyber world there are always naive and envy people telling they have this and that, who cares. The reality is they don't have it in REAL life.
