Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Finally, after posting numerous threads on this forum, and receiving so many responses from you. I have ordered my first Porsche. Here are the specs:

    Carrera S Tiptronic
    Arctic Silver X1
    Full leather Black AT
    Sport Chrono
    Park Assist
    Dimming Mirrors
    Telephone
    Power seats and memeory
    Tire Pressure Monitoring
    Floor mats (XX1)

I did not get NAV because its not very useful in the middle east, nor did I get PSE because this will be my business and pleasure car (can't afford two Porsches).

BOSE was skipped because I have a much better sound system at home (Linn + Acoustic Energy).

The approximate price is US $89,300. Januray production, end of March delivery.

Just wanted to thank all that helped in steering me in the right direction. Amongst the mistakes that I almost made were:

    Green exterior
    Standard leather
    A lot of useless aluminum
    No Chrono
    No power seats
    No TPMS

Oh yeah, I paid SAMACO (KSA) an additional $3000 to upgrade to a C2S. I didn't import from Dubai after all.

Once again, thanks to all who assisted. But I'll still keep bugging you!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Congratulations, now for the daunting task of waiting until March!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Congratulations - where's your next poll?

No seriously, hope you enjoy it!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Congratulations. I didn't get the Bose either as I was not that impressed with it's sound. H/e it appears that if you don't get the Bose, you lose a 12v socket in the passenger footwell. There is some controversy on this however as some people do have the 12v without the Bose, which bugs me even more!

Oxo theres an error with your typing now change that Arctic to GT ..LOL..

No really that is a very sensible spec..

All for $89,000 , I am in the wrong damn country ..

Congrats mate and enjoy in good health..

    throt..

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Mabrook my man - I paid 91K for my C2S. Though, I have Bose and special leather terracotta. That's the best thing to do is to go with Samaco, I know it makes you feel terrible about the choices but that's our only dealer. What can we do my man.

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

That sounds like a pretty good price over there. Congrats!

    LOL.

Congrats in your purchase anyways bro....
    Sounds like a nice spec

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

    Congratulations! Very good price too!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

Congrats, have nice wait... it hurts, i know, i waited for 8 months myself...

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

    Oxonian,

I like your spec, and I think you will be very pleased with it. Now you just have to find something to do until March to keep your mind off of the painfully slow production process.

I know you're a little irritated about the whole C2 vs C2S thing, but in retrospect, getting the S for an extra $3K will be a good deal. In fact, you will probably get more than $3K at trade-in for this car over what you would have received for a C2. The BiXe and more agressive engine sound are nice too.

Anyway, congrats, and I'm looking forward to your next poll!

Horum? Is that a prescription drug? Never heard of it.

Oh, I get it! You learnt your English from Inspector Clouseau.

    You mean HAREM!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

    LOL...Harem...

My fiance made a condition, before we got married, that I'm not allowed to take a second wife.

Unfortunately, polygomy is beyond me...a mistress is out of the question...better spend the money on a Ferrari...

that is, once i recover from the cash outflow in March...

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

My wife imposed the same terms prior to getting married, but that was only on no second wife. She did not preclude two for one offers, which would technically mean I could jump from 1-3!

    Sorry beltar, I couldn't resist.

    LOL...3 wives...

    This requires an X51 retrofit...

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

    LOL!

Re: Finally took the plunge (C2S speced at US $89,300)

if i can make one small suggestion. spend another 490 and get option 460. gets you the airbag cover in leather and the sport wheel covered in what they describe as smooth leather. it's as nice a leather as I've ever seen ( and i've spent a few bucks with roche-bobois over the years). it feels just amazing in your hands. it completes the full leather package..imho
