Cayenne RS Rumor
I also got this rumor today, take it with a laaaaarge grain of salt :
Porsche seems to plan a high performance version of the Cayenne (RS or GT).
Two engine variants are rumored to be discussed right now:
1. a modified and supped up Cayenne Turbo engine with around 500 HP.
2. a highly modified variant of the CGT V10 engine with substantially over 500 HP.
The first engine has the advantage of low cost, allowing Porsche to offer a powerkit for the current Cayenne Turbo too.
The second engine has the advantage of extreme exclusivity, especially for the US and Middle East/Asia market.
The Cayenne RS (or whatever the name will be...) is rumored to be less off-road capable than the standard Cayenne due to a highly modified air suspension and there is also a strong rumor that Porsche wants to add some lightweight parts to it, especially if they decide to build the more expensive variant with the CGT derivate engine.
I'm curious to see if this rumor becomes reality, sounds very interesting to me.
