Enmanuel:Clear windows always look so elegant. Sadly on some places it's a heat management / security thing to have tinted windows. For the sake of continuity couldn't you have the front tinted the same as the back seats, or is there a legal limitation in Europe?
Front is max 30% in France. Reason is that you need to see what the people are doing inside during a police check.

There is also a limitation in many US states but many drivers in the US don't have a clue about it. 
Tinted read windows and rear side windows are a good thing in my opinion but to each his own, matter of personal preference and taste.

Correct. Often the restriction only applies to the driver window.

M5 CS is an amazing car. I just couldn't deal with the outdated interior and the car is a bit too big for me (I need it as a daily driver and parking is a pain in the ass here).
Seeing the new 5 series, I think Frank did everything right.

I am on the opposite side, the interior feels super modern and timeless to me. Love it!
As for the current touchscreen/digital dash, that's actually out dated already.
May I present the 1988 Buick Reatta? Digital dash PLUS a touchscreen.

GM was really trying back then. They acquired Lotus and their active suspension technology, as well as Hughes Aircraft for their systems and control knowledge and satellite technology (early attempts at OnStar)? Integrating these acquisitions and benefitting from them was another matter.

Quick update after our first family holiday with the M5. First time not having an estate as the family car meant the dogs had to stay home for this outing, but impressed with boot capacity of a 5 series sedan, you can really shove a lot in that space. Having a one year old along for the road the amount of shit you're transporting is ridiculous. So dogs aside, 5 stars on practicality. My six year old is very happy in the bucket seats as well, slept most of the 8hr journey, that's the best compliment the seats can get. Wife, who's not a fan of the 'drug dealer' M5, also reluctantly admitted her bucket seat was quite comfy. I too am amazed at what a comfortable cruiser it can be. Silent on the autobahn, muscular when it needs to be. Downside, it does like a drink, more so than the E63S. I cannot get it below 14l/100km and I really drove gently.
What remains the biggest selling point for me, after 6000km now, it feels genuinely special every time you drive it. Be it for its damping, its steering feel, even at slow speed, it feels special. A four door supercar somehow. Also the looks have really grown on me. So, very happy with it after the first few months, a few longer trips on the cards this summer, I'll update along the way.
