Roma spider

What do you guys think about Ferrari Roma spider?

I am thinking of buying it as a GT car for summer.

My dealer is telling me, that I will get my in 24 month. A free dealer is offering me a free quote for Q2/2024 - so in 12 month for 10.000 € extra, contract over a normal Ferrari dealer.

Would you pay this 10.000 € extra?

What do you think about the depreciation over 12 or 24 month. All used Roma coupé cars at my dealer are over list price. But this might be just the actual situation. What is realistic in 12 or 24M?

Are they any must have options? Like carbon steering wheel.

It would be your personal choice to see if cutting 12months of wait time is worth 10k. Some will think yes and some will think no.

No one knows about the depreciations yet, it's a brand new model, there wasn't a convertible before.

Others here who already have a Roma can tell you more about living with the car day to day.

Would you pay $11,000 for a year of enjoyment? Buy it and enjoy an extra and summer/fall. I doubt it will depreciate because it's a new model and dealers can sell it easily.

Too elegant for my taste (I'd prefer the 296GTS) but if you like it, why not? It is a beautiful car and Ferrari has done everything right with it. Depreciation? Well...if someone is a fortune teller... Smiley

The car looks nice and elegant. I would not recommend paying over list for what is after all the entry level model. I would anticipate 20% depreciation over 2 years at least in the UK market.

Guys, thanks for the input.

I am also struggling with paying 10k for getting it 12 month earlier, not for the 10k but just I hate to pay for such things.

Even 20% depreciation is nothing compared to Bentley GTC - there you loos a lot of money in 2 or 3 years.

Still waiting input from our F owner about must have options.

I liked my Roma a lot except for the seats, but remember I'm crippled and those seats must work for normal people, given F's skill w seat design. I am shocked at the overs [and over optioned pigs] US dealers are getting [moved]. My Roma window was 225, why are there so many 300 usd ++ cars used????

let's do some $ arithmetic- lets say your one year upcharge is $10,000 usd and w Fs usual higher drop top price, assume a decent Cab is $300k usd, so your one year pull forward is 3.3%, just brush it off your knee if you want it early -- who cares.

Love the Roma coupe. Better daily than a Turbo I would say. The software update of moving the wireless Apple CarPlay to the center screen works best.

Docile in the cities and goes like a Ferrari. You have to switch to manual mode as there is no sports transmission setting. (Just defaults to highest gear possible) Probably why many Ferrari enthusiasts wrote this car off so early.

ADAS, electrical seats and Apple car play are must options - you have the obligation to order it.

Spider gets some improvements like touch button on the wheel instead of the touchpad virtual buttons. Also some other minor changes. But overall it is like the coupé.

I have still some time to finalize the configuration.

I like the XM a lot but I think it is too heavy. Smiley So if you get one, get the Black Label. Or get a X5M, the new one has the same power as the old one but due to the mild hybrid and some gearbox mods, it is faster.

Alternative could be the new M5 Stationwagon Hybrid with over 750 hp.

Ferrari magazine arrived w the factory shots -- it looks like a PORSCHE!!!!!!! Beautifully made, will sell like hotcakes. even rear headrests perfect.
