Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

I finally made my decision. It will not be a 997 2S X51 cabrio as I first said.
As you might know I packed the car with options and I finally came to the conclusion that I'm not that far away from the Twin Turbo price range.
So ... in stead of a 997 2S it will be the upcoming 997 TT cabrio. Options are not sure yet since the list isn't available for the turbo's at this time.
It WILL have the following whatsoever:
    PCCB (might be standard?)
    Colored wheel caps
    Heated seats
    Porsche crest on seats
The Turbo's usually have an extended list of options installed already so I don't think I will need more extras.

Some people say it will be deliverable around September 2006, others say it will be more likely around mid 2007. So I decided to sell my Boxster Bi-Turbo now and I will buy a 2nd hand 996TT cabrio triple black. That way I will get used to the AWD of the Turbo.

The triple black 996TT cab will be fitted with 19" Sportec charcoal rims, a stage 2 loud Europipe twin exhaust and PSS9 Billsteins.

I should have this car next month and will post some pictures ASAP

Hopefully I made the right decision ......

if you're willing to wait till end 06/early 07.. but i think its the right choice here.. you'll enjoy the 997 TT cabrio once u have it.

Re: Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

Woow Rami, that sounds like one hell of a 996TT you bought there.
I couldn't imagine it being more perfect!!!
The sportec Charcoal rims look astonishing, and it'll look even better with the Pss9's, not the mention the ride...
Congratulations man, that'll help you get trough the wait

    (don't forget to post pics!!)

Re: Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

    Hmmm...triple black 996TT to a 2007 997TT cab...yeah, I think that's a reasonable, well thought out, deliberate, and AWESOME plan...Now, I'm officially jealous...

While waiting for the 997S cabrio I also baught a very precious piece of machinery....

A susuki swift 1.3 16V ferrarired and 27O tyres (on either axe 2 x 135) I think it must have been a kind of RS-version: it didn't have el windows, no bose, no AC, no PSM or something like yhat.... Really thrilling (

Are you feeling a bit sarcastic today beltar?
I've seen your car at the Francorchamps Days btw, looks really awesome man, took a picture of it while standing next to the black 993 Sportec Bi-Turbo. Two really awesome cars

I visited the Tourné brothers from Europipes today ... man, those guys are really the max! They are so passionate about their products & Porsches it's really charming.
All their products are hand-made by themselves and I must say they deliver outstanding work! Anyone who drives a Porsche should visit their site (the design is pretty basic but it's all about the exhausts). CLICK HERE
You should take a look at those videos, it's not real high quality but it will give you an idea on how it sounds. In reality it's even way better!
And while you're there you should check out their testimonials as well. I have double checked a lot of those on one of the other P-boards and they all seem genuine. A LOT of US P-owners drive with a Europipe on their car and they're all in awe
And no, I'm NOT related to these guys in any way, I just wanted to let you know about them bc they might really make a difference with your Porsche experience

Re: Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

Are they working on a 997 exhaust or will they just keep it with the 996 for now?
Where are they located? I thought Aalst, is that correctu?

Re: Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

997 TT Cab should be awesome. The same dealer that I bought my 996TT and most recently my 997 S cab. has my deposit for the 997TT Cab. Obviously, I think you made a great choice. By the time you took delivery of a 997 S w/ power kit news of the the 997TT launch will probably be out. If I wasn't able to get the 997 S cab before summer started I had my eyes on a 997 TT S Cab. It was Triple Black pictured below. Didn't make sense financially to buy a car that would depreciate by $30k plus when I could have a car that would depreciate maybe $15. Going with a pre-owned 996 TT cab till the 997TTCab comes is a good move for you imo. As long as the price you're paying is attractive for a pre-owned car. In the North East USA a used 04/05 996TT Cab is a good buy at approx. $100k.

Re: Decision made, 997TT cab it is!

is it just me or does that 996tt cab have PCCM?

    It does. It's a TURBO "S".
Almost bought it. Here's a couple more shots.

They are actually located in Aartselaar near Antwerp. And they have exhaust for ALL P-cars
The exhaust I have on my Boxster Bi-Turbo is also made by Europipes. It seems that they are the exhaust manufacturor of a lot of BIG P-tuners out there. So to answer your question: yea, they also have 997 exhaust available (or they are working on them).

Very true Stradale! Buying a new 996TT cab would have been ridiculous bc of the depreciation of the first year alone. I came to an agreement with my dealer to take over the 996TT cab when the 997TT cab comes out. I will lose about Euro 15K over approx. 2 years.
