People on the board have changed from Black to Red, so there's no reason why you couldn't change to Yellow. I'm not sure if they had to use special heat-resistant paint. Have a search through past posts. I'm sure I've seen pictures of before and after somewhere. I'm guessing Porsche wouldn't want to do it, but... you never know.

Ok listen to this.
First of all, if i m not mistaken 987 boxster's calipers are not silver as you mentioned but Black.
You can have them painted ,on owner some time ago from a 997 posted a thread with directions and foto's of calipers repaint from black to red in a brand new 997 base model.

i hav been thinkin to get my calipers repainted as well.. red or yellow.. but i've seen my fren did it to his car.. not porshce.. and the paint becomes bubbly and the surface of the calipers are no longer smooth.. looks bad..

It Looks Like Paint But It Acts Like Armor
It's tough. It looks great. And it lasts a long, long time. Powder coating is a superior finish that's found on hundreds of products you come in contact with each day.
