Having a bit of trouble following the manual on the break in period ... 2000 miles is an extremely long time not to exceed 4200 rpm. Any thoughts?

Piece of cake. You are aware that frisky driving IS encouraged. Don't baby the thing. Shift alot, vary engine speed and work it hard. BUT do NOT floor it (i.e. give full throttle) even if staying under 4200.

Oh, the hard part is lots of warm-up to cool-down cycles are better than one or two long drives.

Here's another tidbit. When you do get to 2000 you have a few days of cheap thrills finding out what the car can do; during that time making yourself very vulnerable to getting nailed by cops.

Then after a week or so you probably will go back to driving sensibly, as if you were breaking the car in!

So, to put it onto perspective, you hit 2000 miles, you go nuts for a few days and then everything settles down, its not like you get a permanent high for the next 50,000 miles.
