Should prob compare track times for a car for both great driver and those for a more mediocre (?90-95%ile driver).....as I suspect some of these cars (GT2 for ex) may have track capabilities only fully unleashed by a 99th %ile driver, whereas other cars may be more approachable (and less likely to kill/maim) to more mortal drivers....and are ultimately faster cars for most drivers in the twisties.

Yeh, we could also send total beginners out onto the Ring in both of these cars, to make sure the playing field is really level!

Fritz are you missing his point? If a car is built which only a very few driver can optimize what is the point? The mark of a good car is it allows the average/above average driver to derive maximium enjoyment allowable by the car.

The TT is such a car. The CGT, GT2 and GT3 are not. It would be like Sony producing a DVD system which would require an IQ of 150 or more to operate. Why bother?
