Saw a couple(!) of new M3 (sedan) last weekend, all with Munich factory license plates. They looked better than I thought. One was in a flashy green, the other in some sort of an orange (matte). You recognize them immediately, they have quite the street presence.

I agree, but it was clearly intentional (understanding that many potential customers would find it ugly). I don't understand this rationale, but the reaction was clearly not surprising to BMW...
