    I had a '99 996 cab and thought there would not be that much difference. Boy was I wrong. It is like a totally new car. Everything is better. Improved appearance, handling, braking, acceleration, etc. The seats are more comfortable with a greater range of adjustments available.

    I can't wait to get past break-in so I can really get a feel of the stronger engine.

    It is a lot different than the old red 996 cab. They are similar in some ways, but totally different in others. The reality is that the 997 is a totally new car that just happens to look like the car it replaced. And I think all the changes are positive changes. I haven't found anything I miss not having from the 996.

    Thanks for having a place for all us Porsche nuts to exchange information.

    2 months ago I was already driving everyone CrAzY with Porsche speak!
    If I hadn't found this place recently I probably would have lost half my friends and maybe the missis too.

    only one feature i miss.... the ability to close/open the roof and windows with the key in the door.
