They are doing exceptionally well. Transition to the new CEO look like it is going very smoothly. Product pipeline is back on track and waitlist for all models is now over a year.

Great review as always. Good management really does make all the difference. I've been in a situation where a "design/high end" enterprise brought in someone with a tech background to move things forward and it crumbled badly. So kudos to Ferrari on pulling that off with increasing success. Also funny how Ferrari is probably the only brand that can present charts with all the main figures on bright red without it being a negative 
Ferrari have a set of stable clients that the factory can rely on. They aren't as sensitive to the transient customers that go from brand to brand to find the latest toy, say like McLaren or Lamborghini or even Aston Martin. McLaren is in trouble right now because of the transient customers, so do Aston, but Lamborghini at least got the backing of the VAG and benefit from economies of scales by sharing parts within the group to cut cost.
It's the allure of the brand. They are very unique that way. Not even Porsche, can do claim that, even when there are numerous diehard Porsche fans around the world.

Aura is aura, but if the product is bad, nobody will buy it in long term perspective. Simply think about early 90's when ferrari had a very weak model line.
Ferrari is efficient, has a good line of products and support them with the history right way. Porsche is much more efficient both ways however.

I asked Tom Fleming the EVP customer North America why the PuroSangue was not launched yet, and he said:" we're like a hit record company, we launch one now, then need to leave time and space before the next one."
Certainly the product is looking better currently with 812 SF and GTS, Lusso, Roma and 296GTB. It was no so good in the recent past.
