Maybe its just the computer generated images, but none of those interior pictures blow me away. I think its the huge black plastic middle part that ruins it. I would assume they would offer a wood package of some sort then again, maybe not so it doesn't look to much like a DB9. In any event its missing something. Not enough contrast, needs another color somehow. Maybe some contrasting stitching.

Isn't that huge black plastic bit aluminium in reality? I'm not sure.

Not sure if its aluminum or not. If it is, I never got the impression from the Geneva pictures that it was brushed or anything.
It might look better in person, but right now its a little drab. I've seen the new black lacquer finish on the DB9 and that was beautiful. Looked just like a black piano.

I heard for the first 7 or 8 months only the indicated paints and these 5 interior options are the only available ones and you also have to take all the options such as dimming mirrors, battery something and so forth... which is around GBP7k or GBP8k.

Yellow is the launch edition color. If you happen to get the launch edition than you have a yellow one otherwise yellow won't be listed as a paint option (this is what I was told by the dealer).

Insturments seem over decorative rather than serious.
Sloping dashboard and console seem like another useless
design affectation rather than its form serving any purpose.
Aston's tach needle moves in counter rotation to speedometer
needle.
You would think that for a fast and very personal car that there would be somewhere to toss whatever onto the dash top
during stops and that the insturments could be easily read at a glance at high speed.
Do the people who design these cars actually use them, or are they drunk on design for the sake of design?????
The Aston interior looks very prissy to me. Im sure devotees of fancy handbags and crystal trinkets will love it though.

Thanks for posting the options.......although I must say that I am a bit turned off by the interior of the car. I am seriously considering placing an order for January delivery, but my dealer has told me that they have no substantial information on colors or interior trims as of yet. May I ask if you have any more photos of the car's interior?

Its beautifully executed, but shouldnt a sporting car be sporting some insturments other than tach, speedo, gas and coolant temp? Why is the clock set so low?? And why must we be so impressed by the sight of a prominently placed CD slot?? Can it stamp letters also??
It all looks like a German prisoner at Connally was ordered to make a Lexus IS300 interior look more expensive or get shot in the morning.
Sorry to knock it so much, but traditionally, British, German and Italian sports cars have more insturments and at least a few practical design things inside.
This is nicely done up, but ladies handbag useless.

just for everyone else's reference,
sarah maynard WAS a handbag designer.
the interior looks cheap compared to the DB9
mabye deliberately, for model differentiation purposes.

And what do you think of this 'handbag' on the dash of Pagani Zonda F? 
Wait until all the options are available, I bet it's almost not any different with the DB9's! Especially when the DB9's automatic or the Vanquish's sequential manual is available.

Deposit Question
I am thinking about putting a deposit for the possible future supercharged AMV8.
How much are the dealers asking as a deposit to get on the wait list? As with other cars, Mercedes, BMW etc, is the deposit fully refundable?
I have no experience with any dealers at this level. So, any tips would help.

Well, refunding your money is very subjective. I initially thought that by law they have to refund your money but later on I found out that it all depends on the dealer's discretion nothing else.
I know in Houston Porsche use to refund your $1,000 if you pulled out but since almost couple years ago they require $5,000 and non-refundable.
Ferrari and Aston in Houston both require $10,000 deposit and they tell you up front that IT IS NOT refundable. Now make sure you clear this with your dealer and don't take their words for it, get it in writing.
