    car show/meet

    here is ryan, sd's video complete with pcar, fcar, vette, lambo, GT350 shelby, etc acceleration clips:

    if anyone else has plenty of bandwidth available and cares to host it for more voracious consumption (current hoster is bandwidth limited), it would be much appreciated. i also have a compressed (33 mb) version of the 60 mb one linked above.

    yep, it was a '66 Hertz rent a racer GT350. it was a beautiful car and i asked the guy to please get some more shelbys out there.

    The new one looks like it might be a winner too. A 450 hp hot-rod for around 40k USD!

    I expect to see a few of these at the track. Biggest problem is that they have a straight rear axle (not independent suspension like every other modern sports car), so you can't have anything but 0 degrees camber on the rear wheels...

    Ryan - the last version of the Mustang had a straight rear axle too, but the Cobra version had an independent rear. Unfortunately, now even the top of the line Mustang keeps the straight axle

    No doubt Ford SVO ran outta $$$ to develop a IRS for it. The live axel set up will be ok until you make contact with a greasy wet track. The standard new mustang GT already
    has a nasty reputation for not much traction in the wet, so this shelby profit machine must be really awful in the rain.

    Ford may have created the perfect car for ex wives in Seattle.

    A live axle doesn't do anything for reducing rear axle unsprung weight either.
