    where's my Boxster?

    They must be using rowboats to deliver cars to the US. My car completed production on 2/24 and still shows order status: CMPPRD. Apparently not on ONVESL yet. Anyone else waiting what appears to be too long for their car???

    I hear ya.....
    Mine hasn't even been built yet though. Was supposed to have february production. My dealer is telling me that it should be build next week. Argh!!!

    mine was cmpprd on 2/28. It did not make the 3/6 boat that left for baltimore. I'm hoping its on the next boat - I was led to believe that should be departing @ now. The wait is painful... the car is done, and its just sitting...

    there are boats at LEAST every 3-4 days.

    porsches hitch a ride on VW transport vessels since they are in small volume.

    even if it DOES make it on the boat, you still have 4-6 weeks more to wait.

    they go from finland to germany. They ship east from Emden/Bremerhaven. Just found out today that my car is now "ONVESSEL".

    My salesman told me yesterday my car will be in Hong Kong on April 24, the build day was 2nd week of March. He said I can have the car in a week if it is ship by AIR for an extra $3000+!

    Hey Jyiu, you ordered in HK? when?? I ordered mine here in Tokyo last yr NOV 5th. And am still waiting for the production time. I didn't know RHD could arrive in ASIA as early as April, you should really call yourself lucky! Did you order your Boxster (S or non-S?) in Causeway Bay??

    I order my S after the launch in HK probably mid Dec. If I order sooner I could be driving it now. I think they started to arrive at the end of Feb. When I first talk to the salesman in early Nov. they said they can give me a build day in Jan.

    Since JPN only has LHD manual and auto and no RHD manual, my order was a special order and takes extra time. The sales was saying something like "HOPEFULLY" we'll get you your car w/in 2005. Well, that's ONE F@#$ING full yearr of wait.

    what's your color? I am going speed yellow w/ black interior and top

    my 2/28 build changed to ONVESSEL on 3/18. It's due to arrive Baltimore on 3/28. If you're on that shipment your status would be ONVESSEL.

    My car is triple black with aluminmium-look rollbar, whatever that is!

    Are all Porsche LHD in JPN? LHD car can not be register in HK, however you can still buy it. A guy park his CGT at the Porsche service center, when he is not tracking in China or drive around using temporary/test-drive plate.

    We ordered ours in NOVEMBER for European delivery and still haven't got it. Has anyone heard this one: they are short of leather so not allowing full leather???? I think its BS! Also, how are you able to check the status of your cars online?????

    Called my dealer to change order to a 2006, which I am reliable told begin production late June.,and was informed car is built.This is the 1st info I have rec. from Dealer.
    Have requested continuing updates but am told Sales Manager keeps info. to self.
    If car is built should I be able to get a vin#
    What do I do ?

    no sh!t? 2006 built this June, now is this solid? I'm gonna grab my sales rep by the collar and shake him silly!!

    If its built it has a VIN (and your dealer should be giving that to you). I found some helpful dealer contacts on PPBB. they've been looking up my order on the PCNA system and keeping me informed. I've also had a great salesguy who keeps me in the loop.

    MY 06 won't be built till Septmeber. for Delivery in October. The MY06 specs can't be ordered till then and the factory shuts down for August. They start 06 model building when they return from their summer break in September. It is my understanding that a June bulid (july dlivery) will be a 05 car, although the VIN will confirm or deny this as will the 11th letter (S or U) for a Stuttgart or Finland build.

    The factory only shuts down for a couple of weeks really.
    All August cars will be 06 and some of the late July ones will be 06 too.
    I've confirmed this by RC and my dealer too.
    So far, so major mods though.
    Probably some software updates and hopefully the MP3 player for the PCM like the Cayenne 06.

    Hi Alan, sorry I overlooked it but congrats for your new car. Don't forget to post pictures when you get it.

    There can be many reasons for delays, Exklusive options may delay delivery of the car (car exits production but has to go to Exklusive department for certain options).
