f 430 at fiorano race track
impressions regarding F430 at fiorano race track last 12 march.
Me and Sergini was invited to try the 430.
looks incredible agressive( will post all the pics later including also 430 spider).
interior very sporty dominated with the enourmous rev indicator in yellow( opt), don't feel rich but well done and with nothing more than necessary.
in the few laps I've done you don't really get much of the car, but the engine is really incredible, much more torquier than the 360 and more agressive at high revs, infact the max speed is around 230 km/h compared to the 360 210 km/h before braking into the first left curve after the main straight. The car had the carbonceramic brakes, they are really powerful and you can brake almost 20/40 meters later thatn the normal ones, and they can survive more than 300 laps at fiorano( at least they told us!!!!)
The F1 gear box, is now faster, expecially in the upshifts than the 360, and I couldn't find nothing to complain on, it's work really ok.
Finally the E-DIFF, I tryed it in position sport and race.
The thing is that you really feel the difference and that there is a kind of magical hand that helps you out of the problems.in sport it's a bit to much invasive, but in race the things are going better it's harder and sharper and with less understear.
The thing that I noticed was that the car had a lot of understear, but it was probably due to the almost finished bridgestones??!!!
Then we had the opprtunity to be passengers with Tarquini ( he race wtcc with alfa romeo this year), and he really drove the car to the limit!!!That was really fast!!!!
He also says that the 430 is an incredible step forward compared to the 360, he told us that the 430 is as fast or a little bit faster than the 360 cs on fiorano racetrack even with street bridgestones.
The car feel quite easy to drive fast, at least much more easier compared to my 993.
I really was impressed by this car,and the handling ,feel like a kart with 490 hp...... can't wait for the 430 cs which probably will see light in 2007????
