    AM DB9 Fat Car, Fat Actress

    Aston Martin did a AM DB9 product placement deal in the new "Fat Actress" tv show.

    If a fat actress choking down a Mac Donalds fat bomb while sitting in a new Aston Martin DB9 coupe is Astons idea of
    marketing and promotion, then they have lost their minds.

    3700lb Car, 300lb actress and billions of greasy calories.....

    On the second episode, her DB9 coupe had changed into a Jaguar roadster - maybe AM objected to the usage in the 1st episode

    man i love the DB9

    if only it wasnt a bloated GT, why are astons always 300 pounds heavier than their competitors...

    All GT cars are as heavy as the DB9! (SL, 575, Bentley GT is even heavier, etc...)
    It's the the 997 and the 430 that are comparatively light!

    Hi Art!
    Long time no hear!
    I unfortunately haven't driven the turbo nor the DB9.
    The only blowned 911 I've driven is the GT2 which I think it quite lighter than a turbo.
    163 kgs? On the open roads, you'd be hard pressed to feel the difference I agree Art, but on the track, difference would be huge especially on the brakes!
    But then again, you'd have to be pretty thick skinned to take a DB9 on the track.
    I don't think of the DB9 weight as a problem, because it doesn't pretend to be a sports cars in the trackday sense of the word, it's Grand Tourer, and probably the best of them all! (Bentley, 612, etc.)

    no offense, i love the DB9, but it doesnt belong anywhere near the track.

    it is a wonderful GT car, that was its purpose, when it gets on the track, it is blown away by most of its competitors

    most of the UK magazines bashed the DB9 without mercy when it came to on-track performance.
