Here in Southern California I paid full sticker for my March manufactured/April delivered car. My dealer has sold their entire allocation for MY 2005 S coupes and cabs, so they don't see any reason to deal. I suspect you might get some sort of deal on a non S model even here.

I didn't get any discounts. I went into to the dealer & negotiated my deal today (also saw my new cab with all the packing around it). I wanted them to add nav & the short shift kit for the options cost. The sales manager said "no" then offered me another $1k on my trade-in.
I thought the whole thing was really stupid since I can buy the nav & SSK from other dealers for less than retail & bring it to my local delaer & have them install at a relatively low $85/hour. Bottom-line is I save a little more this way, but it is a little bit more trouble. Also it is clear the sales manager's policy on the 997 S is no discount. Note that my local dealer hasn't even gotten one 997 S cab in their latest allocation & they still have a launch C4S on their showroom floor. (clearly they don't want to make deals)
