bluelines:I am most delighted to announce that I am alive and well. Everyone's concern in this matter is truly touching and emotional. Such a reaction is however for little girls, so there is no need to feel lost or insecure; I have not grown up, become serious nor more humble.
Yours sincerely, a proud ECOTY15 owner
I'm glad that it is you that are using your Rennteam account again, it was weird for a while - Welcome back!
Grant:RC:A few months ago, I heard a rumor about a facelifted 400 hp GT4 but lately, nothing.
When you heard that rumor, was it with NA motor or turbo (4ycl or 6cyl)?

Porsche marketing might leverage on this for the next 718 GT4 (unless the GT4 moniker will stand for the number of cylinders ).
Oh no, if they start using this naming strategy then I may end up with a 3-cylinder GT car

Or one with no cylinders and only a Reverse gear

They better not be teasing us (we tested it, but decided against it)

Very happy about that (and 4.0L 500hp)

Yep, (optional) rev-matching is as close to PDK as I want to get.

Well, it will be memorable (not for only good reasons).

9000 RPM was a marketing limit and came with some issues. I doubt many will care too much about 200 RPM more, I don't, when the new one has a 4.0l with 500HP based on the previous RS.

Based off the GT3R engine, not the RS engine.

RC:How about a manual without a clutch... (just thinking out loud what some people may like)?!
Sequential manual - perfected for street driving. I am with you. Clutch only for coming to a stop. Launch control or manual clutch release. After that clutch is optional when shifting gears. It would basically be a cheap reliable version of the racing transmission. Yes it would be expensive but we would be getting something for our money.

If they could have made of version of the Cup's sequential that was cheap, reliable, and had good road manners, they never would have bothered with creating PDK...

I think I can agree with this statement
I drove Cup cars before, I think I do like that transmission! But without the great whine for the street.

In other words, the RS engine is a dud too

This would be quite different from the competition.

throt:nberry:watt:when will we be able to order gt3.2?
Early summer 2017 is what I was told.
Sounds too far off, imo......
Car will be shown in Geneva early March 2017 (still Winter). I would expect orders following immediately thereafter. Deposits should be placed now (or sooner).
Nick, maybe you're referring to RS?

You are correct, nick is looking at a RS.. Which really does surprise me as he off loaded his 991GT3..Maybe nick knows its the last of the N/A ...
I also consider the GT cars quite hard core for guys of our age ( 50yrs + ) . Is our nick around that ... Sorry to be nosey, Nick.....

"I Have Done It!".
991 GT3 pick up in October 2014.
I was thinking about getting the next GT3.2 or maybe even the GT3RS but with the GTS Cab in the garage, another 911 didn't really make sense. My choice to get the R8 V10 Plus was not a choice against the GT3, just an alternative as a weekend toy fun car to replace my beloved GT500.

I suspect that RS will be offloaded quickly if Nick decides to get it. A street legal race car which has a roof and never sees the track will not be much fun in the long run in sunny California.
