In English speaking countries, Cayman sounds very close to Gay man.
The Porsche marketing people must be arrogant little dirt clods who failed to do localization marketing research.
Im sure that Cayman might be clever in Germany/ROW, but in English speaking countries its a stupid choice for a automobile.
They have now followed in the foots steps of General Motors.
They once tried to market a car in Spanish speaking countries called the Nova. Nova in English refers to a cluster of stars, but in Spanish it means "dont go." Its sales didnt go also.
Cayenne at least has no sexual double entendres.
