987 S PICS and brief review
I had the opportunity to again test drive the 987 S yesterday.
I liked it more than 1st time, the car had 10Km and the engine was alive compared to the 1st was I tested. My biggest surprise was the sound! Holy Sh.. this think was loud, pretty incredible sound big difference from the 1st one I tested. I wonder if anyone can comment on the sound compared to 997 and 997S.
For those choosing colors, I think it looks great in basalt black. The metallic coating that someone described before as a permanent dirt coating actually makes the color look great and bright compared to normal black which looks dirty and old as time goes by, just IMO.
Again, I would say the drive was fun, car was fully configured, PASM, 19", sportt crhono, Bose, etc. The quality of the leather is great, it actually feels like leather as opossed to my 986 S 03. I am not sure if the car is so much faster than my 986 S 03 or it just felt that way because of the sound.
One thing I found annoying was the way the top opens, yes you can open up to 50km and hour but you must keep pressing the button which is not in the easiest to reach place, and also, I think the car has to be either slowing down or way below 50km, otherwise it stops opening, maybe someone can comment on that. Defenetly the way a 911 cabrio opens makes a lot more sense to me.
I took some pics, by the way, the car was very dirty, in spite of that it looks great, again in my opinion this is the quality of basalt black compared to black.
In 2 weeks I will test the 997 S, will post some pics then as well.

I testdrove the Boxster S too and liked it a lot. However, I didn't find the sound to be too impressive, maybe because the car was brandnew and the exhaust wasn't "free" yet.
