    Folks, if you are interested in the GranSport have a search for 'GranSport' on www.maseratiforum.net as there are tons of threads there. There was another longer EVO article on the car that was very positive on the car and put it as alternative to Porsche. Of course as a previous owner of Maser 3200GT, 4200 Spyder and now GranSport I (like you) am biased

    I have a 996TT cab and a Gransport. The gransport has a more communicative steering and an excellent exhaust note. I have driven Maserati coupes and ther Gransport is MUCH different. To put it simply, its the Stradale version of the Maserati coupe, both in feel and performance. Also the interior is much more exotic looking with carbon fiber console and unique sport seats. To me the driving experience is more involving and exciting, while the 911 is a better daily driver with better brakes. I am very happy with it and it offers something very different from a 911.

    terrence, thanks for the input. i agree with many of your points (more fun and exciting to drive, unique, and sporty interior), which is why i'm leaning towards the gransport, although both cars are clearly great and i only wish i could have both.
