New addition: DONKERVOORT
Got fed up with using my dd 997.2 on the track. Bringing the baby to daycare with squealing brakes and worn tires after a trackday made me start searching for a more trackable car. The Porsche can enjoy his track life retirement with hauling babies and grocery shopping from now on. No more racing number stickers on its doors.
This one will take up that role:
It's a Donkervoort GT, one of only 15 build. 1.8T Audi engine, 270bhp, 680kg, adjustable suspension and brake balance, shod with R888 Toyo's.
It's a tiny car (smaller than a Boxter), dominated by that screaming turbo four pot. No nannies whatsoever, no power steering, no power brakes, no radio, AC or wind down windows. Only a digital laptimer and a heavy clutch.
So not really ideal for city driving but perfect for driving down to Spa, scare myself and others and returning home before dinner.
