CTT12 - engine oil usage
Hi All,
It has been a wee while since I have posted last but I need a little bit help. Not sure if I mentioned but since 5yrs I am back in my native Holland and bought 4.5 yrs ago a Cayenne Turbo 2012. It is my second CTT and never had any problems...and still I don't have any problems, but why posting?
Last month I took my CTT12 to our house in Portugal as wifie refused to fly. It took us 3 days to get to the Western Algarve and another 3days to get back up (after a two week stay). Prior to going I asked Porsche Rotterdam to do a summer check and they found that one of my valve cover gaskets had a slight weep (very common I was told). They changed it and it is fine ever since (Porsche Rotterdam were very helpful and fixed it before driving off)
OK, my question, before going to Portugal I added maybe 1ltr engine oil say every 3-4000km, I wasn't worried as this was a lot less them my CCT08 I had in the Middle East. Anyway, I since drove down to Portugal and back up and some more driving equating in an addition 8000km, guess what? it still shows 3 of the 4 green segments and haven't changed since the valve gaskets were changed 8000 km ago. I find it rather strange, I took 2x liters with me to Portugal thinking I had to add a little oil.
Not sure if I need to be concerned, it has now 137k on the clock and drives great. Did anyone hear about problems with oil level sensors in E2's?
