Front Inside Tire Wear
Peter Smith of the Porsche Club of America's tech section has just added three new tech question and answers on the Cayenne. You can see them here: web page
The question of front inside tire wear came up again. Smith says he has not seen the problem recur after a good front end alignment. This was also the subject of a TSB, #4495, where it was noted the suspension of the Cayenne would settle over the first 120 miles and alignment needed to be performed after that.
The other two question/answers cover the retrofit of the collapsible spare and the advisability of a secondary cat bypass. Smith does not care for the sound of the bypassed 2nd cat and prefers a replacement of the muffler with one of the many aftermarket units available, for those desiring a louder exhaust.
