What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

This was a great pic to photoshop (thanks Joost for the original ) and thought I try a few things, I though, the new 997 range would look better with and made a 997TT version. Hope you guys like it:

    - Get rid of that fog-light and turn-signal assembly from the bumper and house it within the headmllight assembly.

    - Smaller headlights!! the current ones are a bit too big and make it look to "cute" or beetlesque. These smaller ones look sportier/agressive and more 959'ish.

    - Get rid of the F612 style happy smile of the fromt bumper center.

    - Widebody and wider rear tires.

    - Sideskirts.

    - Sharp edged turbo wheels.

    - 996TT aerokit rear wing.

    - And a little carbon fiber mirror touch

Please Porsche, at least do the smaller headllights and turnsignal/foglight assembly thing

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

    Carlos!!!, what can I say.....increible!!!!

The 997turbo looks superb!!, I love it. I wish the 997 was as yours!!!.

Congratulations for your skills!!!. By the way do you work as designer or something similar??.
    Alex

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

    Gracias Alex!

No, I'm just a recent amateur with no formal training but I love to tinker with things and see how they work, and I found photoshop to be relaxing and fun when you have an idea and trying to figure out how to make photoshop make it come appear

    Here is the original BTW:

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

The main thing I like from your 997turbo, is that the circle that covers the front headlights of the 997S have gone!!!. This really makes the front really more agressive and sporty. Here is what I say (in case you dind't understand me)

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

carlos ! congratulations on this pic ,its just amazing!! i really hope it will look loke this one..
is this the beginning of "carlos motorsports" ? spain lacks the presence of a spanish tuner..

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

yeah! I can specialise on SEATs!!

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

How in the world did you achieve to make that ?
    It's increadible!
I'm still not sure about your front bumper. It has the gemballa look to it. A bit too much for my taste. Although I do agree with you when you say that the actual 997 front bumper has a big smile on his face.

    You're the photoshop king

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

I like it a lot Carlos an excellent PS work.

Let's see if we see this picture in this week of Auto Spies as "The first real picture of 997TT"

Alex, Porsche needs this for the facelift...and maybe for the Turbo.
This is actually what I wondered when the 997 showed up: to be really perfect, the 997 would have needed slightly smaller front lights. Let's wait for the facelift in three years or so...

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

Carlos, why don't you try more of a 993 Turbo / 959 approach? Also don't forget that you need a wider rear and wider tires (315s as far as I know... ).

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

One word, WOW! Really great looking - great work Carlos.

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

Thanks guys! glad you like the changes.

Its rear is wider and also the tires to fit the Turbo specs, look carefully

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

Looks great - you should send this
to the guys over in germany:)

Hmnn in three years Porsche will stun the designer world by completely changing (their words)and improving the 997. How? They will reduce the size of the head and fog lights; increase power by 5 hp AND change the steering wheel! They will increase the price of the car by $7500.

The Porsche faithful will applaud and embrace the new radical design and move claiming Porsche is returning to it roots.

Nick, Porsche produces DRIVING machines, not POSING machines. I hope you'll love your F430 very much because seeing the rear of the "old" lady 997 Turbo all the time might be too much of a torture for you.
Oops...I forgot...you care about looks and not performance, so it won't bother you, right?!

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

Sir Nix-a -lot especially cares a lot how it looks for the next owner of his Ferraris . It MUST have the correct interior color or he would be crushed emotionally if the next owner were to comment that it isn't the proper match for the SoCal market . I.e., not WORTHY !
BTW, Nick, where ARE you from ?

Be gentle, have compassion...he's a lawyer.

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

I knew you just had to butt in Nick. Why make some completely drastic changes on something thats already the king of the hill a.k.a. 911 Turbo?... "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Drastic changes in new models are for other brands becuase they "need" them, think about it and it will make sense.

So just a friendly hint, if you see something similar to what I have photoshopped in your rear view mirror when you are driving along the S.F freeway, LEAVE CLEAR THE LEFT LANE INMEDIATELY AND STEP ASIDE PLEASE!

    Nice job!

I totally agree with the 2 comments above...and not just for the turbo!

that in the nicest way possible

Owning a 997 Turbo would no different than owing a Saturn. Very available and once you drive off the dealer lot, you have lost already 5% of what you paid for it. But who cares: you just want perfomance. Hilarious!!!

I wish there were more Porsche owners in the business world. Easy money. Unfortunately, Porsche is picking your pocket and there isn't much left.

I'm not sure but I think Porsche 996 Turbo and Ferrari 360 Modena production numbers aren't far away one from each other.
Driving off the dealer lot and you already lost 5%? 5% of what? Of money, fun, time? Maybe I shouldn't have gotten two kids because they just "eat" money. Maybe I shouldn't have married because marriage actually costed me a lot of money. Maybe I shouldn't have hired two employees, without them I wouldn't have as much time as I have now but I would definetely have more money in my pocket.
Nick, you're really incredible: you're talking about looks, design and passion but what you actually mean is always MONEY. Now I get the point. And yes, who cares? I want to have fun in my car, I care about performance. Otherwise I would buy a VW Golf or BMW 3series as a lot of our friends do and I'd be happy forever.

Buying cars as an investment? I can afford driving them instead.

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

nick have you ever engaged more than the second gear in your posing machine?and btw do you drive your car or you got a driver?

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

    Hey Carlos,
    How about the rear?

WOW!!! Great job, Carlos! The only thing I don't like is the Aerokit rear-wing. I'll let you work on that based on RC's little hints...

    Greetings,

more hints rc ! more hints!!

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

I'll retouch the photoshop of the front and do the rear view as well for the forum if I get some hits from "someone" on what to change to make it more accurate

Re: What I wish for the 997Turbo (photoshop)

Good job there carlos! I made a new one as well, one thing I can do to make it look better is do it carefully and precise. This was done pretty fast ..
