    Do you know when we get the tire air pressure sensor option?

    For the US model?

    i wanted it for my december built car ,they refused it ,i think it might be available for march ,april..

    In my opinion the tire pressure monitor should be a STANDARD option on all cars worldwide. Especially Porsche should take this challenge and offer it for free as an additional safety feature. I have it on my Cayenne Turbo and I love it.
    I also hope it's gonna be retrofittable because with the next tire change, I want to add it to my Carrera S.

    Yes, dhayek seems to be right, there are rumours of a substantial delay.

    As stated in the 997 Product Information Book:

    ' A tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) will be available as an option on the new 911Carrera as of MY06

    Doing some research and the supplier of the TPMS is BERU AG.
    Their website lists availability for the Porsche 911 series from 04/2005

    The question remains will it be a retrofittable?
    Perhaps not since you can not retrofit a Cayenne

    Note that the 997 Product Information Book was printed eight months ago, in February 2004, long before the 997s were available. Perhaps (and hopefully) things have changed.

    i also asked ,they said it is not retrofittable due to electronics..

    Too bad because Tire Rack has the BERU components available for the wheels.
