Re: OFFICIAL: 992 Carrera Cabriolet
Whoopsy:The RWS and other stuff doesn't cost 17k euro to produce...................
The RWS was pretty expensive to implement because of the mid engined setup. Porsche had similar (cost) issues with the 991.1 Turbo S when they introduced RWS, at first they wanted it as an option but the development team insisted on having it as a standard option. Reason was cost, so they raised the base price of the 991.1 Turbo/S.
Ask your buddies at Porsche, they will confirm.
Lambo is just jacking up the margin.
A little bit yes but the facelift wasn't cheap for them, the changes are pretty substantial and the WLTP/particulate filter certification was very complicated and costly in this case. Engine and gearbox are at it's power/torque "end".
Speaking of margins: Lamborghini will put out as many Huracan Evo on the road as possible as far as I heard, production numbers will be raised, dealers will get much more cars and allocations. I assume that this also means that some good deals could be available along the way.
Oh...a fourth Lambo model is coming as well...a GT Coupe. Will be interesting.
