So, opinions about the race?
Quite a shock to see the Hulk tumble around, glad he wasn't injured. Another testament to the spectacular safety in motorsports nowadays.
I thoroughly enjoyed the race, with plenty of exciting moments. Thrilled to see Max finish on podium again, after the safety modes of his engine during the start and re-start.
Why is Bottas still at Mercedes? He has shown time and time again that he is quite a driver, but doesn't possess the fighting spirit you might expect of someone driving in the top team... I wouldn't be surprised if they told him to step down in favor of Ocon after a few races in the coming season.
Speaking of which... I was positively surprised by Ocon's sportive reaction to the pushing and shoving with Verstappen; seemed he thoroughly enjoyed the fight.
And the FIA has been acting in mystery again; Bottas cutting a corner and getting back on the track with a clear advantage and it wasn't even investigated. Alonso (or was it Ocon?) did exactly the same and received a 5 seconds penalty...
The lap of Alonso together with Lewis and Sebastion was great to see... In a way I feel sad for Alonso; he had all the cards in his hands to become one of the big drivers in history, and then to end your career like this... He and his funny radio comments will be missed dearly.

LH proved again that he's a fantastic driver competing for champion chips whilst VB is just (from time to time) a fest driver competing for the podium and sometimes even for race wins.
What happened when LH was overtaking MV and suddenly backed up?
DIdi he do it in order not to ruin his tyres as he knew that he might be fighting with DR for the win (as it seemed a long time)?
Being no real fan of Max I must admit that he's the only one out there to really challenge Lewis considering sheer driving skills & speed, lets hope that RedBull will have a great car again and that Honda finally will be on top level (as they've been promissing each year).
McLaren and Renault as well have been real disappointments the whole season especially if you compare their achievements to RedBull using the same engine.
Finally FA is leaving F1, he was a great driver and fighter but unfortunately he was a "bad politician" doing himself no favor for his career!
Even though he's still among the top 3 drivers (LH, MV & FA) nobody wanted to cooperate with him anymore, which is very bad as drivers like SV and VB aren't pair to his skills but still driving in F1.

To me, the GP in Abu Dhabi is my favorite! Seeing Kimi parking his car nearly right in front of my seat as well as Lewis, Seb and Fernando doing their spinning classes-priceless. When Kimi parked his car it was all of a sudden quite - everybody was like „come on, get going again“. On the other hand, the three dancing drivers left a lot of people Sprechgesang- such an incredible Performance. And, by the way , „ Mr Smith“ seemed to have gotten a lame arm when waiving the chequered flag at the end. So, overall,me likey a lot!
This is when they call it a racing incident...One can never be certain as the example of Bottas showed. He was not only off track but basically on the road to Dubai...Strange, in other cases they looked at whether or not the car was inches off track. I waited for the 5 sec penalty, but ... hmmm, weird...

I really look forward to Leclerc in a Ferrari, that guy has been amazing this year IMO.

Valteri reduced his race speed considerably and prior leaving the track he was way ahead Max!
this is why Charlie didn’t penalize him
What I saw was that Max was right on his gearbox and forced Bottas into making an error (missing his braking point). VB went off track, cut the corner and came out being way ahead of MV... Well, Verstappen overtook him in the end, but I found it really weird to see.

Gauss:Me too. Hopefully Vettel will see this as a motivation to focus more and win again.
My feeling is it will be the same as when Ricciardo joined him at RB in 2014.

Im happy that we will have Kimi in F1...he is just the coolest guy out there.....and I think that Lec and GIo will be the real outsiders....this will be fun..hope for the cars to be more or less at the same level...this would make f1 great again
