Shields are too big (rest is okay).
Would get it without shields but it reminds me of my old 997.1 Turbo Ruf 550, that black exterior/yellow calipers contrast was always one of my favorite looks.

It needs stripes though. Looks almost naked without them.
The black one...I would get without stripes. Perfect.

RL big pony polos
Whenever I'm visiting those RL outlets in the US, there are lots of tourists, mostly from South America, who are looking for the shirts and stuff with the most "decor"/logos on them. They usually buy the stuff nobody else wants to buy. I get it, brand identity and whatnot but sometimes a little bit less is a good bit more.

The more brand you show, the the less taste you display as all you are doing is trying to "buy" taste because you think that they validate whatever you are wearing as tasteful... and especially distasteful when its a comom ordinary object that needs no brand and they want a brand on it.

Scifrog:
Well it is not that simple. What if the branding is part of what makes the item? Of what if there are no logos but the item is easily recognizable?
Speaking of the Ferrari shields being too big, I believe that is optional and painted that will cost you no less than $11k - $12k

We are all on a Porsche forum. One of the most over the top brands. Just saying it is funny when we can see trees for the forest.

You missed the point Leawood, nothing wrong with top brands. Nothing wrong with buying a Porsche, a Ferrari or a Rolls.

The logo shouldn't be the center of focus, this is probably what Carlos meant to say. It is important to recognize a product but when the brand logo is too big, it gets ridiculous. Saw a RL polo shirt with that polo player and it was almost as big as the whole shirt, it just looked stupid.

I love top brands, also because most of them provide an excellent quality. Are there products with similar quality for less money available? Maybe but it is more difficult to spot them. I know that Louis Vuitton is the poster child of luxury brand products and there are certainly more exclusive products (Hermes for example) available but the quality is really top notch and worth the money. Of course I would love it if they were cheaper but honestly, you get what you pay for, even if it may be a bit too much.

+1
The problem is when you buy for mainly the brand display, specially in ordinary basic things that have equal quality no matter the brand, for example buying a simple t-shirt for 4 times the normal cost just to display a bling brand in the front, that shows no taste, it is the same t-shit with a brand stamped on it. Another example is when the person has no clue how to dress appropriately and covers himself with brands from head to toe (with visible logos, the more visible the better) because he thinks that the brand makes it OK then and compensates for his lack of taste. Another example is where the brand may be a fashionable brand but in this object it has no history or experience, for example sunglasses from a top brand that makes clothes or jewelry instead of a experienced much higher quality brand but less known (outside sunglasses), same with shoes, watches, etc.

True but brands like LV didn’t make clothes shoes jewelry and watches not that long ago. Now they are considered a top player and their goods are really top notch. ANd there are tons of exceptions like that. Chanel glasses and watches are great. Mont Blanc watches are nice. Porsche design products are great. Some Ferrari goods and clothing are also very good.

True. Me and my wife bought our first LV shoe wear this summer. First my wife (see photo), then me (see photo with my wife, she wears different shoes though in this pic, also a good example of a RL polo shirt ) after my wife said that these shoes are super comfortable. She was right. Will probably get another pair at some point. Expensive though but worth it since I can leave my Timberlands at home in spring/summer. Ferragamo also makes very comfortable shoes but I struggle with their design sometimes. Mostly sneakers though.

If have a question for you Ferrari 488 experts. I can buy a new 488GTB Spider one off Tailor Made. Beautiful car white with all carbon in blue, blue rims and blue leather interior and the panels in teak wood very special. The cost of all these "extra's" is over 100.000 Euro. Do you think a car like this will hold somewhat its value? Or are these type of cars after a few years unsellable?
