So, opinions on the race?
As for me, I found it a very exciting race to watch, really enjoyed it.
Not sure what Ferrari were thinking? Why take Seb in for a last tire change, where he would loose 20 seconds which he could never regain... were his tires on the edge of exploding? He could have stayed out on his tires and finish the race without loosing or gaining a position imo.
So bummed by the Ocon/Verstappen spin... Not to sure what to think about it. On the one hand I think Ocon should have been sensible, on the other hand, there was no need for Verstappen to close the door... he was far ahead of Hamilton at that momen, so he could have chosen to keep a slightly wider line and not loose anything. All in all, I think it was right to give Ocon the 10 seconds stop&go, but what did he loose with that? So Max still has the disadvantage of a "lost" race, whereas Ocon didn't really suffer from his action. I can imagine Max' frustration in the aftermath, but I think it is fair he is "punished" with the two days of work for the FIA.

VET has nothing to lose with the extra stop. He got new tires and in case of a safety car he could close the gap and after SC could try with fresh tires to pass one or two cars. He hadn't got the chance - no SC
BOT had to follow VET and made also an extra stop to be prepared for such a situation.

KMM:I think Verstappen's move was one of entitlement. He assumed that Ocon would back off, so he did not bother checking his mirror. His loss.
Exactly. I have seen that a few times during my racing season this year. The more experienced drivers took more care simply because they have more to lose in a collision as a leader.

Hamilton's comment on the issue was quite just... mentioning that he would normally be in a different state of mind, more careful when you have everything to loose... or something of similar meaning.
