    New Maserati model for Paris

    Maserati will present a new version of their GranTusimo in Paris. It's called GranTurismo MC Corse Concept.

    I don't get it at all. This Maserati is meant to be a GT, so this model is like what, a hardcore GT car? Sort of a contradiction isn't it?

    +1 "Hardcore GT" - exactly How can a concept car have a vision if its identity is confused?

    Anyway, this has to be the laziest design of a "concept" car I have ever seen. It's just a set of snazzy front and rear aprons

    IMO concept cars are all about dreaming up amazing new shapes and ideas and then making them concrete... in that respect, I actually prefer looking at the more visionary concept cars made by mainstream, mass-production car manufacturers who have much bigger budgets so that they can really go wild with their ideas

    the car is close to production version that will be used in the maserati race series. Looks great IMO.

    Another contradiction of a hardcore gt car is the GT2 but I do not see anyone criticize that.

    The bottom line is the MC12 raced in FIA GT is getting older (although still winning) and Maserati faces the possibility of not being in racing; this is their response. I'm 100% behind this concept and hope it comes to reality with a full factory effort in either Europe and/or America's ALMS series. More importantly, I would welcome a production version of this car ala the old GranSport MC Victory. Until then, I'll struggle with my newly ordered GranTurismo S

    That would look somewhat menacing in your rear view mirror! Pity it's a track only Trofeo series car. The S version could have done with more series visual mod's like this IMHO. Perhaps they'll bring out an equivalent to the GranSport in the GranTurismo range later in it's production cycle that will adopt some of this styling.

    Maserati has taken a page out of the Lamborghini ( Gallardo and Murcielago) marketing manual : put out an "ultimate " version of a model - until the next greater one comes along in 6 months.

    It is not a road car ! it is for the Maserati trofeo and maybe for the GT3 class.

    I think it's awesome... only if they madeit with a more traditional interior (GT3RS-like) so that common people like me can drive it...

    on the other hand, the website mentions a new quattroporte!!! are they referring to the S engine? or a totally new quattroporte? anyone has a clue?

    New Quattroporte. New Engine, Front, Back, Interior resembles more the GTs. Will be getting a QPS late this month/ early next one. Will post pics.
